Drivers License for British Columbia

In order to operate a motor vehicle in British Columbia, you must mark off all the points on the check list below: 

  • Be 16 years of age or older.
  • pass a graduated licensing program.
  • Pass a knowledge and vision screening test.
  • Have two pieces of valid identification. PRIMARY: BCID, Canadian Citizenship Card, Canadian Passport, Record of Landing, PR Card, Student/Work/Visitor/Temporary Resident Permit, Driver License from another Province. SECONDARY:  Bank Card, Credit Card, Social Insurance Card, Employee Photo ID, Student Photo ID.
